The biggest—and most chaotic—city in Vietnam is Ho Chi Minh City, also referred to as Saigon by the locals. Automobiles, rickshaws, bikes, and motorbikes are all free to travel wherever they please, and numerous markets and street stands overflow into the lanes of traffic. There are a billion things going on in this city at once.

Due to its low cost of living, it has recently become a popular destination for digital nomads and is also one of the most popular places in the nation.

The city has a lot to offer, including amazing restaurants, exciting nightlife, amazing shops, and a ton of historic sites. In addition, there are a few noteworthy (and heavily propaganda-laden) museums, such as the War Remnants Museum and the well-known Cu Chi Tunnels, which were covert tunnels utilized by the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War. It is worth spending a few days visiting; it is my second favorite city in Vietnam, after Hoi An.
